Gastric carcinoma

Patient comes with history of reduced appetite and loss of weight

Patient Data

Age: 55
Gender: Male

Contrast enhanced CT scan done of abdomen in axial plane shows circumferential wall thickening of the fundus and body of the stomach with significant luminal narrowing, and adjacent fat stranding,  there is evidence of few enlarged lymph nodes around the stomach and bilateral pleural effusion.

Case Discussion

Gastric carcinoma is the most common cancer in the world after lung cancer and is a major cause of mortality and morbidity.
