Presentation
Abdominal pain, dyspepsia, anorexia, loss of weight and abdominal distension.
Patient Data
Omental soft tissue mass lesion is seen with heterogeneous enhancement as well as peritoneal masses seen abutting the anterior abdominal wall.
Malignant rather dense ascites; predominately peri-hepatic and peri-splenic.
The stomach is seen of diffusely thickened wall with marked reduction of its capacity. Small peri-gastric lymph nodes are seen.
Mild fatty hepatomegaly with no definite focal hepatic lesion.
Mild splenomegaly, no definite focal lesion. Normal pancreas.
Bilateral small renal stones with the largest is left renal lower calyceal = 13 mm. No renal masses or hydronephrosis.
No significantly enlarged para-aortic or pelvic lymph nodes. No definite colonic masses.
Normal uterus. No adnexal cystic or solid mass lesions.
Case Discussion
Diffuse gastric carcinoma (linitis plastica) and peritoneal carcinomatosis, omental deposits (cakes) with malignant ascites.
Bilateral renal stones are incidentally noted.
