Case Discussion

Diverticula can occur anywhere along the gastrointestinal tract, most commonly in the colon. Gastric diverticula are rare. They most commonly arise from the posterior part of the fundus. Although they are usually asymptomatic, they may cause complications like ulceration, bleeding, and perforation. On CT examination, they are sac-like lesions originating from the gastric wall, containing a gas-fluid level +/- oral contrast (if given).
