Status post sleeve gastrectomy with a reduced volume tubular stomach. No stricture. No hiatus hernia. On water siphon test, there is free gastro-esophageal reflux.
Case Discussion
Gastro-esophageal reflux is a late complication of sleeve gastrectomy, it can arise de novo or can be an exacerbation of existing symptoms. Some patients with GERD may experience an improvement in symptoms after a sleeve gastrectomy.
