Gastrointestinal stromal tumour

Abdominal pain - few wks.

Patient Data

Age: 55 - 60 yrs

A well-defined solid mass lesion with central cystic areas is noted posterior to stomach, anterior to pancreas.

No calcification is noted. Solid areas show vascularity.

Approximate size - 85 x 70 x 70 mm.

Case Discussion

Possibility of GIST suggest depending on ultrasound findings. CT was done later raising same possibility. 

Surgical excision done.
