Gastrointestinal stromal tumour

Single spot image from an upper GI study. There is a  mildly radiodense filling defect in the gastric lumen. Barium can pass by the filling defect into the duodenum.

Case Discussion

Gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GISTs) are the most common mesenchymal tumour of the gastrointestinal tract. They may be intramural or intraluminal (as in this case).
