Case Discussion
A pathologically proven case of giant hamartoma of the left breast.
Surgery was done, with the surgical lumpectomy specimen measuring 12 x 8 x 4 cm. The microscopic picture showed a benign lesion formed of epithelial component exhibiting foci of fibroadenosis, sclerosing adenosis, cystic changes and apocrine metaplasia and focal gynecomastoid hyperplasia, as well as adipose tissue. There are focal early spotty microcalcifications.
