Age: 16 years
X-ray

Lucent lesion with cortical thinning centered on the medial aspect of the distal femoral metaphysis. 

CT

Lytic lesion with cortical thinning centered on the medial aspect of the distal femoral metaphysis. 

MRI

T1 low signal, heterogeneous T2 high signal lesion with cortical thinning centered on the medial aspect of the distal femoral metaphysis. Associated periosteal reaction. Physis appears intact. 

Case Discussion

16 year old with an atypical giant cell tumor, in that it does not reach the articular surface. Such a metaphyseal location has been described 1
