There is a relatively well-defined lobulated mass measuring 35 x 30 x 20 mm, encasing the flexor tendons (digitorum brevis and longus) with medial extension and erosion of the posterior cortex of the proximal phalanx. It elicits a low signal on T1, high signal on PD fat sat with a heterogeneous enhancement on postcontrast sequences.
Case Discussion
MRI features of a tumoral process encasing the flexor tendons of the 2nd toe most consistent with a giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath.
