Nodule in the left toe that appeared 2 months ago without a history of trauma.
Patient Data
We can see this tumor involving the phalangeal bone of the foot. Low to intermediate solid component and low signal periphery in T1, heterogeneous high signal with areas of low signal intensity in T2, and solid components will enhance in T1 with GD.
Case Discussion
In these case, we can see the aggressive reaction, involvement soft tissue and bone.
Biopsy showed giant cell tumor.
Differential diagnosis should be made with a tumor brown hyperparathyroidism, non-ossifying fibroma, intraosseous ganglion, aneurysmal bone cyst, myeloma, chondroblastoma, chondrosarcoma, osteoblastoma, fibrosarcoma, osteosarcoma, benign fibrous histiocytoma, chondromyxoid fibroma and carcinoma metastatic.
Giant cell tumor at such a location is unusually aggressive and needs regular follow up to detect local recurrence.
