Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Male

Overlying bowel gas obscures a lytic lesion at the right sacrum.

Lytic soft tissue mass centered at the right sacral ala and involving the sacral body, extending just into the spinal canal. No internal mineralization.

Expansile, lobulated mass centered in the right sacral ala effacing the right S1 neuroforamen. The mass has enhancing septations, as well as other areas of nonenhancing T1 hyperintensity consistent with internal hemorrhage. STIR sequence shows these to be multiple cystic areas containing fluid-fluid levels. Findings suggest an aneurysmal bone cyst.
