Giant cerebral cavernous venous malformation

There is a 50 x 55 x 60 mm large area of abnormal signal mass lesion along with left frontal precentral gyrus stared from the level lateral ventricle trigone and body to the level of the cerebral cortex.
The mentioned mass demonstrates a characteristic “popcorn” appearance with a rim of signal loss due to haemosiderin.
No evidence of water restriction is depicted on DWI images.
Case Discussion
Typical appearance of cavernous malformation, with popcorn appearance, due to different stages of haemorrhage within the lesion. A complete ring of haemosiderosis is usually noted around the lesion, with some flaring of dark signal into the adjacent white matter tracts.
