Presentation

Abdominal fullness.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male

Hypoattenuating hepatic mass with central areas of low attenuation.

Its enhancement pattern is peripheral nodular discontinuous enhancement that gradually fills centrally and follows aortic attenuation.

On delayed phase, the lesion becomes isoattenuated to liver parenchyma.

Case Discussion

The term giant hepatic hemangioma is reserved for lesions larger than 5 cm.

Surgical resection is indicated in patients with abdominal (mechanical) complaints or complications, or when diagnosis remains inconclusive.
