CT of the brain demonstrates well-circumscribed fluid density cystic lesion in the left basal ganglia. No solid component, no mass effect.
Otherwise the brain is unremarkable.
Case Discussion
Perivascular spaces are benign fluid-filled spaces around perforated vessels. Often they are small but can reach giant size (like in this case).
It is important not to confuse perivascular spaces with cystic tumors.
