40-year-old female patient with a growing mass over the last couple of years.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female
mammography

Dense glandular densities (ACR D) showing left breast large dense soft tissue mass occupying most of the left breast.

ultrasound

Encapsulated soft tissue mass lesion showing heterogeneous echotexture measures about 13 x 10 cm in its maximum dimensions with overlying left breast skin stretching. 

Case Discussion

Giant left breast mass and considering the patient age and rapid growth rate, a phyllodes tumor is more likely.

Core biopsy was done showing biphasic fibroepithelial tumor showing proliferating spindle cells within collagenized occasionally loose stroma entangling bland epithelial component in the form of patent and focally compressed ducts. Picture impressive of a phyllodes tumor.
