Presentation
Abdominal pain followed by anticoagulation treatment.
Patient Data
Left iliopsoas muscle swelling with heterogeneous internal density associated with large well defined retroperitoneal hypodense fluid collection measuring about 10*15*25 cm started from the level of the left renal inferior pole with downward extension into the pelvic cavity next to the left adnexa
Subcutaneous hematoma and fat stranding superficial to external abdominal oblique muscle on the left side
Multiple and bilateral tiny renal cortical cysts with maximum diameter up to 10 mm
Thoracolumbar spine degenerative changes as endplate sclerosis and marginal osteophyte formation
Case Discussion
Giant retroperitoneal hematoma, iliopsoas hematoma, and abdominal wall hematoma on the left side occurred during anticoagulation treatment for pulmonary embolism.
