Presentation

Back pain, restricted motion and deformity. History of the L2 vertebral body pathologic fracture several years ago.

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Dextro-convex scoliosis, with a flattened appearance of the T7 vertebral body in the frontal plane due to pathologic fracture, which has a wedge-shaped appearance on lateral projection, producing gibbus deformity, with almost right-angled thoracal kyphosis.

Case Discussion

The patient complained to back pain and reduced motion. History of the pathologic fracture of the L2 vertebral body several years ago.

On thoracal spine radiographs, there are signs of the Th7 vertebral body, probably due to osteoporosis, with gibbus deformity.
