Presentation
Presented with a tachyarrhythmia requiring temporary pacing. Neck mass.
Patient Data

Severely enlarged thyroid gland which extends from just below the mandible to the suprasternal notch.
The trachea is narrowed as it is 'sandwiched' between the almost symmeterically enlarged lobes.
Scattered calcification in the goitre.
Case Discussion
An exceptionally large thyroid goitre. Even the position of the patient's face is altered due to the size of the goitre.
For some time the patient didn't wish to seek medical attention and presumably wore concealing clothing in public, so 'hiding' this very apparent neck mass in social circumstances.
