Excision arthroplasty of the left hip has been performed.
In the pre-oeprative radiograph, there is evidence of bilateral congenital hip dysplasia, worse on the left side whereby the left acetabulum is grossly shallow and high riding. There is bone on bone articulation and significant subchondral sclerosis and cysts.
Incidental note is also made of absence of spinous processes in the visualised lower lumbosacral spine which is consistent with spina bifida.
