Artifical left eye following removal of the globe for melanoma. Markedly enlarged liver due to multiple metastatic melanoma lesions.
The commonest site of metastasis from choroidal melanoma is the liver producing the classic clinical syndrome of "glass eye, large liver". This is beautifully visualised in "Demonstrations of physical signs in clinical surgery" by Hamilton Bailey.
