Presentation

Headaches and seizure.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

Large right frontal lobe mass predominantly with low attenuation (necrotic) component and showing peripheral contrast enhancement.

Large right frontal mass exhibiting vivid peripheral contrast enhancement and partial diffusion restriction, as well as presenting a large central necrotic component. Mass effect with vasogenic edema and compression over the lateral ventricle and midline shift is also noted.

Pathologically proven glioblastoma

Note: IDH mutation status is not provided in this case and according to the current (2016) WHO classification of CNS tumors, this tumor would, therefore, be designated as a glioblastoma NOS
