Fresh specimen demonstrates swelling of the right hemisphere with widening of many of the gyri, including the precentral gyrus and postcentral gyrus.
Axial section through the corpus callosum demonstrates a mass located peripherally in the right hemisphere at the frontoparietal junction. It is heterogeneous in texture with areas of necrosis and hemorrhage.
