Glioblastoma NOS (multifocal)

Headache and unsteadiness.

Patient Data

Age: Elderly
Gender: Male

MRI through the brain demonstrate extensive signal change involving the right cerebellar hemisphere, pons and corona radiata. The T2 white matter hyperintensity is in continuity, with focal regions of hemorrhage (see gradient echo sequence) and enhancement. 


Non-pallisaded necrosis in astrocytoma (WHO grade 4).

Case Discussion

Note: IDH mutation status is not provided in this case and according to the current (2016) WHO classification of CNS tumors, this tumor would, therefore, be designated as a glioblastoma NOS
