Glioblastoma NOS

Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Early onset seizure with three attacks on two weeks duration.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

A peripherally enhancing mass is present int he left temporal lobe. 

mri

A peripherally enhancing, centrally non-enhancing, mass is present int he left temporal lobe with mass effect. 

Case Discussion

The patient went on to have surgery and histology demonstrated a glioblastoma. 

Note: This case predates the recent (2016) revision WHO classification of CNS tumors and IDH status is not available. As such, this tumor would now be classified as a glioblastoma NOS.
