Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male
ct

No acute intracranial hemorrhage or orbital fracture.

Collapse and crenulation of the right globe indicating rupture. There is heterogeneous density within the collapsed vitreous body which may represent blood and dislocated fractured lens material. Possible retinal detachment. No foreign body seen. Overlying periorbital soft tissue swelling.

Ophthalmologic assessment (intraoperative) was of total hyphema. Could not tell where lens was. Sutured and for US follow up.

4 wk post injury FU US

Extensive vitreous hemorrhage in the right eye. No obvious detachment.
