Investigation of right Bell palsy.

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

Permeative destructive lesion in right petrous bone arising at the upper portion of the jugular bulb extending anteriorly to the carotid canal. Interestingly the facial nerve canal (vertical portion) seems intact.

Enhancing mass with salt and pepper appearance on T2 arises from the upper jugular bulb extending into the petrous bone.
