A small well-defined nodular lesion is seen on the ulnar side of the nail bed on the index finger. It has intermediate T1 and bright T2 signals and shows homogenous post-contrast enhancement.
Case Discussion
The case illustrates the typical MRI appearance of the glomus tumor in the most common location.
The avid homogenous enhancement and the location in the nail bed differentiate the lesion from the other diagnostic possibility of foreign body granuloma which is more common in the fingertips and show minimal or no enhancement.
