Presentation

Small painful swelling on the dorsum of the thumb.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male
mri

Focal soft tissue thickening of the dorsum of the distal phalanx of the thumb, which is hyperintense on T2 and PD weighted imaging associated with underlying bone marrow edematous changes.

Case Discussion

An excisional biopsy was performed. Pathologically proven as a glomus tumor.
