Presentation
Sharp left sided throat and tongue pain. MRI to rule out glossopharyngeal nerve pathology.
Patient Data

Vascular loop of left posterior inferior cerebellar artery is seen indenting and mildly displacing left glossopharyngeal nerve posteriorly.
No obvious lesion is seen along the visualised course of both glossopharyngeal nerves.
Brain parenchyma is unremarkable.

Arrows pointing towards the point of neurovascular conflict between left posterior inferior cerebellar artery and glossopharyngeal nerve.
Case Discussion
Above findings are suggestive of neurovascular conflict between left posterior inferior cerebellar artery and glossopharyngeal nerve causing glossopharyngeal neuralgia.
