Well defined smoothly marginated soft tissue calcifications seen aligned in the shape of the gluteal muscle tendon at the insertion site on greater trochanter, suggestive of calcific tendinopathy.
Case Discussion
The location, along with the smooth margins of the soft tissue calcification favors a calciifc tendinopathy rather than a degenerative osteophytosis.
