Goiter causing tracheal compression

Dyspnoea following trachael biopsy. Intubated prior to CT.

Patient Data

Age: 65
Gender: Male

CT neck

CT neck shows edema in the retropharyngeal space likely related to recent biopsy. There is fluid collecting in the posterior nasal cavity, nasopharynx and valleculae.

A large goiter extends retrosternally causing compression of trachae.
