X-rays of the left elbow demonstrate a soft tissue swelling overlying the olecranon. It is somewhat hyperdense, without evidence of subjacent bony abnormality.
Case Discussion
Aspiration (under ultrasound guidance) demonstrated turbid fluid which was confirmed to contain abundant urate crystals consistent with gout.
