Patient Data

Age: 60
Gender: Female

Multiple pulmonary nodules. The nodules demonstrate central low density. There is also surrounding ground-glass density associated with some of these nodules.

Incidental right breast lesion.

Case Discussion

Initial blood tests revealed a strongly positive c-ANCA.

A subsequent renal biopsy demonstrated necrotizing glomerulonephritis, with features consistent with granulomatosis with polyangiitis (previously known as Wegener's disease).

The significance and cause of the right breast mass is unknown.
