Pain on dorsal region of ankle, history of old ankle sports injury.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

 A unilocular compressible fluid collection noted between the extensor digitorum longus tendon and the talus. 

Case Discussion

Gruberi bursa will usually only be evident on imaging if distended and can be mistaken for tenosynovitis, thus also referred to as 'pseudotenosynovitis' of the extensor digitorum longus tendons.
