Single axial image through the brain, demonstrates gyral calcification involving the right frontal and parietal lobes with right-sided cerebral hemiatrophy and prominent extra-axial CSF space.
Features are suggestive of Sturge-Weber syndrome, although other causes of cortical mineralization (e.g. ischemic insult) should also be considered.
Unfortunately no clinical correlation for presence of other stigmata of Sturge-Weber syndrome was possible.
