Presentation

History of previous laparoscopy for infertility, presented for a pelvic scan before ICSI embryo transfer.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

A large complex cystic lesion is noted at the left adnexal region composed of interconnected cystic structures. They contain homogeneous turbid fluid content with hyperechoic texture. It reaches 4 cm in caliber.

Case Discussion

Ultrasound features are suggestive of hematosalpinx. It has different etiologies like ectopic tubal pregnancy, infection, trauma, endometriosis, and cryptomenorrhea.
