Haematosulpinx - endometriosis

Patient Data

Age: 45 years old
Gender: Female

Bilateral high T1 signal intensity in a tubular structure (waist sign), it is high on T1FS with no enhancement, with low T2 (shading sign). Two uterine fibroids and lower adenomyosis are also seen. On the sagittal T2 there are low T2 peritoneal signal intensities in pouch of Douglas with bowel tethering.

Findings are in keeping with bilateral hematosalpynx (diagnostic of tubal endometriosis) with peritoneal endometriosis.
