Hemophilia type A, a history of multiple recurrent hemarthroses.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male
mri

There are prominent osteoarthritic changes with severe narrowing of the articular fissures, especially in the patellofemoral joint.

Excessive hemosiderin deposits on the synovial layers.

Case Discussion

Frequent recurrent hemarthroses lead to accumulation of the hemosiderin on the synovia, further, it'll damage the secretion of the synovial fluid, that, in turn, promotes early osteoarthritis.
