Tendo-Achilles insertion intra-substance abnormal intermediate to high signal intensity with underlying marrow edema of the posterior calcaneal tuberosity. Overlying subcutaneous edema with retrocalcaneal bursitis and retro-Achilles bursitis
Case Discussion
The triad of insertional Achilles tendinopathy, retrocalcaneal bursitis and superficial retro-Achilles bursitis are diagnostic of Haglund syndrome.
