Hamstring injury - BAC grade 1b

Injury to the right biceps femoris distal myotendinous junction corresponding to the surface marker:
- hyperintensity length: 4.2 cm
- <10% cross-sectional area
- no fiber disruption
The tear is centered at the lateral/peripheral aspect of the distal myotendinous junction adjacent to the myofascial plane. There is no perifascial fluid tracking.
Case Discussion
This is a biceps femoris grade 1b injury according to the British athletics muscle injury classification.
