Presentation

Posterior thigh tightness during last week's game.

Patient Data

Age: 25-30 years
Gender: Male

Feathering hyperintensity involving the deep peripheral/myofascial muscle fibers of the distal biceps femoris. There is localized muscle fiber irregularity over a craniocaudal extent of 7.2 cm. Some adjacent feathering T2 hyperintensity is present as well as fascial plane edema. 10-50% of cross-sectional area involvement.
