Hypoechoic thyroid gland with coarse or "micronodular" echotexture of the gland. Color Doppler imaging reveals augmentation of the vascularity of the gland, called thyroid inferno.

This case shows sonographic characteristics of Hashimoto thyroiditis. However diagnostic certainty was not established.
