Healing ring and little finger proximal phalanx fractures

Presentation

Fall onto hand 2 months ago. No previous imaging, but buddy strapped since accident. Reduced range of movement in middle, ring and little fingers.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

Minimally displaced transverse fractures of the left ring and little finger proximal phalanges. Slight volar angulation but overall good alignment is preserved.

There is evidence of mild periosteal reaction, in agreement with normal evolution of the fracture healing process.

Case Discussion

These images demonstrate healing fractures about 6 weeks post injury.

No operative fixation was required in this case.
