The vagina is markedly dilated containing thick echogenic fluid (most likely old blood) measuring about 12 x 8.5 x 8.3 cm. Suggestive of hematocolpos secondary to imperforate hymen.
Case Discussion
This is a case of hematocolpos secondary to imperforate hymen.
Surgery was performed and upon incision of the hymen, old brownish blood came out confirming the suggested diagnosis.
