Enlarged uterus with distended endometrial cavity containing fluid and heterogeneously echogenic material (representing blood products). There is an associated small amount of pelvic free fluid, possibly hemoperitoneum. There are no associated uterine or renal anomalies.
Case Discussion
Enlarged uterus with hematometra and mild pelvic hemoperitoneum in a patient with primary amenorrhea, probably due to imperforate hymen.
