Severely distended vagina, filled with fluid appears hyperintense in T1W and hypointense in T2W images, with areas of markedly hypointense in T2W, denoting blood signal intensity of different ages.

No restricted diffusion, and no significant enhancement post-contrast.

Also smaller distension of uterine cavity with fluid of blood signal intensity.

Case Discussion

Blood-filled vagina and uterine cavity, suggestive hematometrocolpos.

Imperforate hymen is the cause in this case.
