Hemivertebra with congenital scoliosis

Presentation

Scoliotic deformity of the back.

Patient Data

Age: 11 years
Gender: Male

Right dorsal scoliotic list with lower dorsal hemivertebra. No significant correction of the scoliotic deformity is noted in the right lateral bending view.

Right supernumerary D10/D11 hemivertebra is noted associated with mild right dorsal scoliosis as well as mild focal kyphotic deformity.

Right supernumerary D10/D11 hemivertebra is noted associated with mild right dorsal congenital scoliosis as well as focal kyphotic deformity with compensatory left dorsolumbar scoliosis and mild left pelvic tilt. No tethered cord or diastematomyelia. The cervical cord is seen following smoothly the scoliotic deformity with no cord compromise.  

Normal spinal cord as well as bony spine. No evidence of spinal dysraphism. 

No disc lesion. No intraspinal or paraspinal mass lesions.
