CT of abdomen demonstrates a fluid-density lesion within the left lobe of liver with irregular enhanced rim surrounding by outer rim of hypoattenuation (double target sign).
Simple renal cysts noted.
Pus was obtained by percutaneous drainage. Culture of Klebsiella pneumoniae was grown.
Diabetic patients seem to be the most favorable to hepatic abscesses.
