Lobulated partially septated cystic mass centered on the segments 7-8 of the liver eliciting a low signal on T1, high signal on T2 and T2 fat sat with surrounding edema and restricted diffusion mainly centrally. The postcontrast sequences show a thin rim of peripheral enhancement (capsule).
Case Discussion
The clinical presentation and the MRI features are most consistent with hepatic abscess.
