Hepatic abscess - with intraperitoneal rupture

- free fluid with echoes in perihepatic, hepato-renal, right iliac fossa and pelvic regions
- an irregular hypo-anechoic heterogeneous avascular lesion (volume ~294 ccs) in the right posterior segment
- site of a breach in the liver capsule with a mobile flake under inspiration and expiration.
Case Discussion
Findings favor intraperitoneal rupture of hepatic abscess.
